Join us for an exciting day in the Ardscoil na Mara Forest! Learn new skills in planting and maintaining forest habitats and contribute to the development of the school's woodland sites.

Come be a part of something special!
ASNM has partnered with LEAF - Learning about Ecosystems and Forests Ireland (https://leafireland.org/) to continue to develop the forest habitats at the school while also using them to engage people with nature.
As a participant you'll
Learn about trees and the woodland habitat on the grounds, including native species
Learn how to underplant, hedge plant, and remove plants
Enjoy lunch and hot drinks
Connect with others who want to learn more about the environment & sustainability!
Join for the whole or part of the day
We encourage those who can to come for the whole day. If you can only make part of the day, please tell us on registration which times you will be with us.
10 am -12 pm: Hands on in the forest
12 pm - 12:45 pm: Lunch and chats (lunch provided)
1 pm - 2:30pm: Hands on in the forest
2:30 - 3 pm: Celebrate with mulled wine and spiced apple juice!

Rooted Futures is a workshop series created by Ardscoil na Mara in Tramore, in partnership with the Tramore Coastguard Cultural Centre and SEA School Studios & Labs. The goal of the program is to create a vibrant community hub of learning connection, and action in environmental sustainability.
