Biodiversity on the Block: A Creative Workshop for Nature Enthusiasts!

As part of this season of river celebrations - we have crossed currents with a beautiful and interpretive project supporting Biodiversity on the Block, a fun and educational series for communities in County Kilkenny highlighting the importance of biodiversity through experiencing print techniques.

Workshop Highlights:

• Duration: 70-80 minutes of fun and learning

• Age Group: Adults and Children must be over 8 years

What to Expect:

• Discover Nature: Dive into the world of native Irish plants and animals. Learn about the vital role of rivers and hedgerows in our ecosystem through engaging discussions.

• Hands-On Printing: Get creative with block printing! Try your hand at this unique technique using our 20 different biodiversity printing blocks.

• Personalised Art: Bring an old white or light coloured t-shirt or jumper from home and transform it into a piece of wearable art featuring your favourite native plant or animal.

About the artist - Michelle McMahon

Michelle is a visual artist, primarily concentrated on the art of print-making. She also enjoys painting and ceramics.
